As per the latest news, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has decided to restrict the Hajj 2021 only for it's citizens and residensts. Thus, no foreign pilgrims will be allowed to perform Hajj this year.
We are still awaiting updates regarding Umrah from the Saudi Ministry. Saudia has informed regarding opening of international flights from May 31, 2021 but as Hajj season would start during that time, Umrah would not be possible. Also, the Kingdom has still not lifted the ban on flights from India, however, Indians having valid iqama and residence visas can travel to Saudi Arabia via a third country after completing a period of 15 days in that third country.
If Umrah is to resume after Hajj 2021, then the tentative date for the same would be in August 2021.
Again, which restrictions would continue to be placed once the Umrah begins is also not clear.
As of now, people between the age 18-50 can travel for Umrah. The maximum number of guests per room is 02 and the seating capacity of 50 seater bus has been reduced to 22-25.
In addition, the Umrah visa fees has been increased multiple times and an additional VAT of 10% has been added to all services making the total percentage of taxes to 20%.
All these changes have forced a substantial increase in the Umrah package prices.
We request our guests to wait for now and the new packages and rates will be updated on our website upon confirmation from the concerned Saudi Ministry.
Also, we would advise our guests NOT to make any advance payment to any Umrah Agent, as many agents are making NON REFUNDABLE bookings at lower rates for future bookings. This is being done with a clear motive to survive the cash crunch by using unfair trade practices.
There is no need to make any hasty bookings, because whenever, Umrah season begins, you will be notified regarding the same and there is no way to save money by paying in advance and please beware of any such offers.
Last but not the least, pray to Allah to make things easier for all of us.
